Your convictions
As I stopped for coffee on the way into work, just after 6 this morning, a well-dressed man was holding the door for me as I exited the coffee shop. We offered a mutual greeting and I thanked him for his hospitality. Once outside, I saw his gleaming Porsche Boxster convertible...I'm sure his pride and joy. Like me, I know he'll also return home after dark, after putting in 10-12 hours at the office. Also like me, I realize that there are those in this country, possibly the majority, who will look at this man's car and scorn him for his opulence. What those marrow-minded "philanthropists" fail to realize is, HE'S EARNED IT! Take away the motivation of hard-working Americans to strive for the finer things in life and the whole country will suffer. Vote your convictions on Tuesday, but if your vote convicts the motivated, prepare to pull more than your own weight, because the motivated may just lose their desire... 2008-11-05 07:24:34 GMT
