Wood Elf tactics from Sparrow Falcon. --
Hey there everybody!
Im interviewing a less famous wood elf coach today: Sparrow Falcon.
He is the coach of the Green Bay Hammers.
Hello mister Falcon, Im the reporter of the NBC OWCL homepage, and I want to know some of your tactical secrets.
Okay, Ill give some tactics and tips for rookie wood elf coaches.
When kicking the ball (defensive) you should place your players in the 3-4-4 position which is explained on the image below.
Elves are very fast and should almost always be able to reach the ball.
Aha, and what about offence?
Well you should set up as in the image below, and move your players according the arrows.
And mind the following things:
- Line elves have 4 ag, you can use them as catchers and throwers, put 2 Line-Elves in the backfield when you receive your kick, use the closest one to go get the ball, and usually he is close enough to the other elf to make a quick pass (2+) to him, and he can then go up to the
line and hand off to the Wardancer (if you have one), who is your best ball handler early on.
- Spread the SPPs dont let one guy (the wardancer for example) get 30 SPP point while the others stick around 3 points.
- After you've finished all of your important stuff, dodge all of the elves away
from the opposing players, especially when playing a hitting-type team, but don't use a re-roll on this!!
-If dodging away is not possible, don't be afraid to take a few even-strength (1 die) blocks, especially if the player you're hitting doesn't have block. You have better odds when hitting then when being hit.
-You shouldnt think that elves cant foul. There perfect for it! They can reach every prone opponent, but dont do it to much (2-3 times a match maybe).
Thats it for now!
Okay thanks for your time!
