Welcome to the NBC OWCL Background. Read on carefully and take in the history of our League
The League itself was formed in 2002 amongst a group of school friends and inspiration from the UEFA Champions League for the name and the Necrommancer Broadcasting Corporation to form The NBC Old World Champions League. The league started with the two Divisions of Death Zone (Division 1) and Blood Zone (Division 2) and three Championships - Blood Bowl, Spike Cup and Blood Shield. Upon much deliberation it has been decided that the division system is going to change to a serious of smaller divisions abolishing the 1st and 2nd division idea (similar the AFC East etc and NFC North etc from the NFL) and with the new system of fixtures allowing the league to flow much better - Check back on this website for more details as the new divisions are launched.
