A mansion would have been an understatement to this structure that the driver approached. It was white, white, white. It was the sort of house you could only dream of. The grass was a pure green. The scenery was colorful. The house had a grand entrance. In one word: perfect.

The driver looped into the driveway. He parked the car, let out Hailey and got out her bags.

There was a bit of a walk to the mansion. On the porch was a figure. As she got closer, she realized it was Brian.

He was smiling; his hands tucked in his khaki pant pockets. He was wearing a tan sweater. The weather in Kentucky had been abnormally unusual, especially at this time of the year.

Hailey walked up to the steps and stuck out her hand. "Hi."

He returned it with a firm handshake. "'Afternoon, Hailey. How was the flight?"

"I hate flying," she admitted, shuddering slightly.

He grinned. "Well, why don't you come inside?"

He led her in the house. Everything was large, grand, posh. Even a lamp screamed, "I'm better than you. I'm more expensive than your house!"

A small "wow" escaped Hailey's mouth.

"I said that too. I love this house," he commented, walking up the stairs. He traipsed down the hallway, passing door after door and finally chose one.

The room was cozy. It was painted with splashes of pastels. Very modest-looking with a moderate bed, dresser and bedside table. A little ways away was a bookshelf stuffed with books.

The driver dropped her luggage down and Brian whispered a thank you before he left.

    "You like it?" he asked.

    "Yeah."

    "You hungry?"

    "Kind of," she claimed.

He guided her downstairs into a sickening clean kitchen. Everything was in its place.

"Goddamn, man, are you always this clean?" she asked.

Brian smiled. "No, my room is a mess. Edna and Molly cleaned everything yesterday. They're angels."

"I'll say...What compelled you to get the truth out? And why not the others?"

He looked uncomfortable. "Will you write it if I tell you?"

    "I'm curious."

"I felt like the truth had to be told. To set it straight for the media, the fans and for ourselves. That's the only reason," he said, adding a shrug, "I don't know why I was the one to do it. Maybe because I was the only person willing to do it."

"I see," she stated. Brian looked extremely uncomfortable. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

"I have to. I'm obligated to."

"I understand. We'll take it slow, no pressure," Hailey explained to him, accepting the plate he offered.
