Hailey walked out of the connecting tunnel. Even though she wasn't expecting anyone, she searched the terminal.

Tom was there. Without realizing it, Hailey ran to him and jumped in his arms. She kissed him over and over.

Tom laughed. "I see you miss me."

"No, not you. Just my own bed," she claimed, noticing she'd attracted attention to herself.

"Slept in his bed, didn't you?" Tom asked into her ear as they walked through the airport.

"Once but it was just sleep."

"That's a first," he muttered, kissing her cheek again.

"You're just jealous, that's all," she teased. She grabbed her bags and followed him to his car.

His car was an old, raggedy piece of shit, Hailey didn't understand why he didn't get a new one like Dickie had done.

"So, what's this Mr. Ex-Pop Star like?" Tom inquired, starting the engine.

"He's nice." She remembered his lips and her own curled into a sly smile.

"You slept with him, didn't you?" he asked again. He added, "Yeah baby!"

    "No, I didn't. Shut up."

    "But you would have..."

    "No."

    "Hailey..."

"No, Tom, I wouldn't have. Why do you care?"

    "Because I missed you."

The rest of the trip was quiet. Hailey stole a glance from him. A week was a long time, she finally realized. They were still quiet when they reached the house.

"I'm leaving for our tour tomorrow," Tom announced.

He watched her go to her room without a word. Tom was miffed - hadn't she heard him?
