She sat on his lap and Brian’s house. AJ watched them both with a smile on his face. Kevin took his turn at the pool table. Brian took a sip of his Coke and cuddled next to Michelle. Howie was on the phone with his girlfriend, Rose. It was their usual get together. Wednesday night at six PM. The guys would take turns over who’s house it was held at that week. They were usually supposed to bring their girlfriends, but today Kevin, AJ and Howie’s were all busy.
As Howie got off the phone with Rose, Brian took his turn at pool. Michelle watched him with a broad smile. She was proud of her little B-Rok. He knew how to do everything. He was perfect. The voice of an angel and the heart of a child. Perfect. Just for her.
Kevin sat down on the couch deep in thought. All he could think about was his girlfriend. It was only Holly that he needed. It was only Kevin that she needed. Together, they were like two children happy on Christmas. Apart, all they could do was think about eachother.
AJ took his turn with the phone. He was going to call Alison to see if she was really too busy to see him. He took the cordless phone and walked out of the room, whispering sweet little things to her. She laughed lightly, loving every moment of it. He smiled, knowing that she always loved what he was doing. He scored. She was going to come.
Howie sighed. Rose definitely couldn’tcome. She had a photo shoot with her photographer. She was a professional model. He was one of the most famous pop stars. As a result of that, they almost never got to see each other. And they wouldn’t get to tonight.
The two on the couch were still cuddling next to each other, giggling and kissing. They were inseparable. She would go with him almost everywhere, and they would always have the time of their lives. They never got sick of each other. That is what love is made out of.
They had been together for almost one year at this time. For that one year, everything was perfect. It was like nothing would ever come between them. Not distance, not time. They wanted to keep it that way forever.
The couple felt like they could talk to each other about anything. As a result of that, they knew everything about each other. They made sure they wouldn’t do things that got on the other’s nerves. That is why they loved each other so much. They never made each other mad.
“Are you guys ever gonna get a room?” AJ sighed almost two hours later. Nick and Whitney looked up at him.
“Is this your house, AJ? Do you see anyone else complaining?” Nick said, attitude in his voice.
“Nicky, there’s no need for an attitude here. And AJ, don’t take it out on us just because your chick isn’t here,” she added.
“Oh shut up, Whitney!” AJ joked, walking away from them. Nick turned to look at her.
“You have the most beautiful tiger eyes, Whitney,” he said with a smile. Whitney smiled back.
“Everyone says that! And you say it everytime you see me.”
“It’s true. And they stick out with your beautiful brown hair. You’re just a beautiful woman all in all.”
“Thanks, Nicky. You have a way with words. I love you.”
She claimed his lips with hers. He closed his eyes slowly, not wanting the moment to end. He placed one hand gently on her cheek as he moved closer to her.
“Oh,please!” AJ exclaimed, hiding behind Howie.
“Can we please act our age, AJ? Just for me? If you do, I’ll give you a kiss!” Whitney sang. AJ’s face beamed and he ran to her.
“Can I get the kiss first?”
“It depends…” she started, looking at Nick. He had been looking at her with a worried expression on his face.
“It’s just a kiss, Nicky,” she whispered.
“Yeah, Nick, don’t get too jealous,” AJ laughed. Nick stuck his tongue out at him.
“Hmm…AJ, I don’t think you’ll get that kiss after all. Maybe if you give me a massage after aerobics tomorrow?” Whitney said.
“After you take a shower cause you might be stinky after you sweat so--”
“Oh shut up, AJ. No kiss for you. Now go away and leave me be!” Whitney screeched pushing him away.
AJ pouted and stood up. When he was gone, Whitney turned back to Nick.
“Now where were we?” She smiled, kissing him softly. He smiled back. A muffled, “Right about there,” escaped his lips.
She smiled again, her lips never leaving his. Brian looked at them and opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out. He got up and tapped Nick’s shoulder instead.
“If all you’re gonna do is that, then get a room. If you’re gonna stop and be with the group, then go right ahead,” he said, a goofy smile plastered across his face.
“If you want me to get up, Rok, then you must help me,” Whitney said with a whiney voice. Brian laughed and pulled her up.
“You guys have been kissing the whole night. Don’t you understand that these get-togethers are for fun and games only?” said a cheery Kev.
Whitney smiled.
“This is our idea of fun and games, Kev. But now that we’ve stopped, we’ll have ‘fun’ with the group,” she replied.
“Well, what are we gonna do now, Rok?” AJ asked from across the room.
“I don’t know. Who’s up for another round of pool? This time we’re gonna gamble!”
