Lutzelbourg-Schoenau 120km

It was downhill to Wasselonne, west of Strasbourg. The early morning mist cleared fairly early, and it was hot and sunny cycling though the Rhine flats near Strasbourg. I cycled due south from Wasselonne, through Molsheim and Rosheim, to avoid Strasbourg, and then east through Krautergersheim and Erstein to the Rhine River. It was not very pleasant cycling. The flats are flat (!), and the towns are industrial and ugly. In Rhinau, the grey clouds set as I was eating lunch, and then it absolutely bucketed down. There was so much lightening, that I tried to take a photo of it by simply taking a photo at a random time in the part of the sky where it was - and I succeeded (Photo 1 ). After the rain had stopped somewhat, I decided to continue. It didn't stop completely, and I decided to stop shortly afterwards in Schoenau, and camp there.
