Mandelbrot Set

Play in web browser (requires Java 1.4)

This was an exercise for my course.

Zoom in : left-click
Zoom out : middle button, or control + left-click
Centre without zooming : right-click

(I have not yet managed to test this on a computer with a two-button mouse. I have found that on a Mac, the ctrl-click to zoom out does not work properly.)

I have tried to write reasonably efficient code, but the process of generating these pictures is by its nature a slow one.  Depending on the speed of your computer, the applet may take some time to respond to clicks.

It is not possible to zoom in very far before the level of detail becomes inadequate.  I intend to improve this at some point.
