(Scene: Ash and co. are walking along a beach. Slowly, as they walk along, the water and the tree line start to recede. Soon, the are walking in a desert. They are, however, oblivious to this fact. Ash wipes his brow with his hat.)

Ash:How'd it get so hot all of a sudden.

Misty: I don't know. Any ideas, Tracy?

(The camera pans over to Tracy, who is reading from a script.)

Tracy: (Reading)It say here that we're�

(Ash, Misty, Pikachu, and Togepi's eyes bug out in shock. Misty starts to make panicy horizontal chopping motions.)

Misty: (Under her breathe) Fourth wall! Fourth wall!

Tracy: What? What do you�oh�(Throws the script behind his back) I'm afraid I don't know.

(Ash points to something in the distance)

Ash:What's that?

(The others shade their eyes and look where Ash is pointing. Cut to character's POV. A black obolisk stands in the distance, distorted by the heat. Our heros start for it. Cut to the obolisk. The group, exhausted, stumble over to it. All of them except Togepi slump to the ground.)

Misty: It's just some stupid old slab of metal.

Tracy: What's it doing out here anyway?

(Togepi walks up to the obolisk cheerfully.)

Misty: Togepi, wait! We don't know what that thing is!

(Togepi curiously lays his hand on the obolisk and closes his eyes. There is a distinct low humming. Togepi's eyes snap open with sudden intelligence, then blink a few times, returning to youthful ignorence. He stands there staring at the obolisk.)

Ash: Togepi, what happened?

Misty: (Worried)What is it, Togepi?

(Togepi turns around and cheerfully waddles over to Pikachu. He grabs Pikachu by the tail and throws him up in the air. The score from 2001: A Space Oddesyi starts up. The film speed switches to slow motion .Pikachu spins around in the air, then starts to fall. Just as the music peaks, Pikachu lands on Ash's head, knocking them both unconcious. The film speed goes back to normal. The music fades. Togepi jumps up and down happily.)

Togepi: Toki toki toki!

(Togepi suddenly stops and turns to Tracy and Misty. His eyes narrow with a music hit. Tracy and Misty look at each, then run away, leaving Togepi. They pass by a group of apes, who look at them, then shrug. Out of the blue, one of the apes hits another apes with a thigh bones.)

Narrator: And so the cycle of life continues and�

Togepi: (Voice over)Toki breeeeeeee!

Narrator: Oh God! Oh God, please no! Noooooooo�.
