Dreaming A Little Dreaming Of You

Like a halo stars and the moon shine bright above you
Night breezes seem to whisper, “I adore thee”
It is a sweet Aeolian song coming from the heart and it is for you
Birds and cicadas sing and harmonize in the sycamore tree
Alas it is but a dream, a sweet dream nonetheless
I am dreaming a little
Dreaming of you

Whispering nighty night and embracing you
Holding you tight and letting you know I miss you
The pangs of loneliness do bite
The blues of life I abide
As long as I am dreaming
Dreaming of you

I will not tarry the sweet dreaming
Till sunbeams find and lighten your heart
The fading stars will find me dreaming
Dreaming sweet oh sweet dreaming of you
Let this dream linger, linger for you
Oh sweet dreaming
Dreaming of you

Till all worries are behind
Still craving sweet cravings
I will dream till your joy you find
Whistling this tune born of the piercing Cupid arrow
Let the road be narrow
I will still dream a little
Dreaming of you

Let dawn find me longing
I will be singing a little singing for you
I will linger dear
Because I am dreaming
A little dreaming of you

Sweet dreaming till happiness envelops your heart like a cloak
Sweet dreaming that leaves all worries in your wake
I am still dreaming
Dreaming a little dreaming of you
