The Mary and John



Master Thomas Squeb sailed the Mary and John, owned by Roger Ludlow, from Plymouth on March 20, 1630 (the Saturday before Palm Sunday)with 140 passengers and a crew of 40-50. The ship was supposed to land at the Charles River, but Captain Squeb refused to navigate the Boston Harbor. The ship landed at Nantasket on May 30, 1630.
