Puu is the cute little penguin / teddy bear that we usuall see curled up in Keiko's arms, or on Yusuke's head. Puu is Yusuke's Spirit Beast and is supposed to show his inner self. Before Puu hatched, everyone had visions of large ferocious beasts. Well, they were way off. Puu can transform into a huge, powerful Pheonix when Yusuke is in trouble. Puu is like another part of Yusuke. If Yusuke is sad, so is Puu. If Yusuke dies, so does Puu. So you can tell if something is wrong with Yusuke usually by looking at this cute little guy.
