Name: (Youko) Kurama, Shuichi Minamino Age: Appears to be 15, really about 300+ Height:5 foot 8 Family: Shiori Minamino (human mother) Though most of the time Kurama appears to be human, he is actually a fox demon named Youko Kurama. In the Makai, Youko Kurama was feared by many for his power and his reputation. His friend and partner, Kuronue, was killed in a "mission" and soon after, he met Hiei. Hiei and Kurama ever since then were best friends, and looked out for each other in all of their robberies. But one day, Kurama was also killed in a glitched burglary. To keep himself from truly dieing, he fled to the human world, and hid in the womb of a pregnant human female, Shiori Minamino. He planned to slowly recover his energy in his human form, and then leave. But he grew attached to his human mother, and decided not to leave. When Kurama's human body was 14, Hiei found him and asked him to help him steal the three Treasures of the Spirit World. When Shiori fell ill, Kurama agreed. As soon as the robbery was over and Kurama had possesion of the Forlorn Hope, he left his alliance with Hiei and the demon Gouki. Koenma had put Yusuke on the case and soon located Kurama after he defeated Gouki. Kurama explained to him that he would gladly hand over the Forlorn Hope to him at the hospital during the next full moon, which is the only time the Forlorn Hope will work. When Yusuke met him at the scheduled time, Kurama told him that he intended to use the Forlorn Hope to make his mother well again. When Yusuke found out that Kurama would have to give up his life to make it work, he remembered how sad his mother was after he got killed saving that kid from the car. He told the Forlorn Hope to take some of his life too, so that Shiori wouldn't have to lose her son. When Kurama's wish had been fulfilled, and he realised he wasn't dead, he rushed to see his mother and the docters told him that it was like a miracle, but his mother would be okay. When Yusuke woke up after being knocked out, he reaised he wasn't dead either, and Botan told him that he had done a very noble thing. Shortly after, to pay Yusuke back for saving his life, Kurama aided Yusuke in defeating Hiei by " taking a bullet" for him. Really he jumped in front of Hiei's sword and temporarily blinded him. After Yusuke got all three treasures back and got done with his training from Genkai, the Four Saint Beasts were threatening to plunge the wholw world into chaos if they weren't released from their confinement in the Makai. Because Koenma knew Yusuke couldn't take care of it on his own, he decided to bargain with Hiei and Kurama. If they would help Yusuke, then they would be pardoned. Ever since then, both Kurama and Hiei have aided in all of Yusuke's missions. Kurama had given up all hope of ever returning to his Youko form, until the Dark Tournament. During his battle with Uraurishima, Uraurishima opened the Iduun Box, which makes anyone but the owner who brathes in the smoke from the box, degress in age. (the opposite of progress) What Uraurishima didn't count on, was that Kurama would go further than he wanted, causing him to turn into Youko, but only for a short time. Right before the final match against Team Toguro, "The Beautiful" Suzuka provided them with items that would help with their matches. He provided Kurama with the secret of the Iduun Box, which was the fruit of a rare tree in the Makai. It proved to work in Kurama's match against Karasu. He transformed into Youko and summoned a blood sucking plant that killed him. But because Kurama had been down for ten seconds before Karasu actually died, Kurama lost the match.
