Hiei was born on a floating ice island called Koorime. Their were no men on the island, because the ice maidens there could give birth without men. Hiei's mother, Hina, fell in love with a Fire Demon and gave birth to twins, Hiei and Yukina. When Hiei was born, the elders saw him as an ill omen, or bad luck, because he was a fire demon,and a boy. So they ordered Hina's best friend, Ruri, to toss him over the edge of the island. she placed one inside Hiei's bandages. Ruri told him that if he lived, to grow up and get strong, and come back and get revenge for doing this to him. And although Hiei was still newborn he understood every word she said, and remembered. He survived the fall (duh) and was adopted by bandits, who named him Hiei. He grew up learning to like killing. He eventually became so powerful, that even the bandits that raised him were scared of him, and they ran away from him. Hiei went back to Koorime to have his revenge. When he got there, it was deserted, everyone was hiding. The only person not hiding was Ruri. She begged him not to kill her, and told him about his twin sister, Yukina, and his mother, Hina, who had commited suicide soon after he was condemned to be tossed over the edge of the island. Hiei left without killing Ruri, but was now set on finding his sister. Soon after, he lost his tear gem in a battle, so now to find his sister and his tear gem, he got the Jagan at the expence of losing most of his youki. The person that implanted Hiei's Jagan also threatened to kill him if he ever told Yukina that he was her brother. He met Kurama soon after. When Kurama got killed, Hiei went to the Ningenkai. Hiei found Kurama and teamed up with him and Gouki to steal the Shadow Sword, the Orb of Baast, and the Forlorn Hope. Yusuke was assigned to stop them from using those to destroy the earth. Yusuke defeated Hiei and the rest, (Kurama went kinda peacefully) and returned the three treasures to the Spirit World. But, about half of a year later, a new threat arose. The Three Saint Beasts were threatening to turn the entire human population into zombies! Koenma knew Yusuke couldn't handle it alone, so he bribed Hiei and Kurama, telling them that if they helped out, there records would be clean. And from then on, Hiei kinda, well, was a little more friendly to them. (Aaaawwww. Happy endings) |
