On Oct 19,
2012, Maggie and I headed up to the vet for a c-section and spay.
Again, the residual effects of Diamond dog food have taken their toll on another
litter.
Low birth numbers and low fertility rate of our dogs from the salmonella
contaminated food that
Diamond sold out of their Gaston, SC plant for six months before being forced to
announce a
recall in April 2012, have taken a major toll on our breeding this year.
This last litter of Maggies
is a perfect example of the horrible food that Diamond continued to sell six
months after reports
stated it was contaminated with salmonella. If you're still feeding
Diamond dog food, KNOW that
their food has had numerous recalls in the past. We're very lucky to have
one very healthy pup
make it through yet another disappointing, and expensive, experience.
Thankfully, Maggie is also fine.
