This book captures the stories of Americans who lived through World War Two. The author talked to people from all groups in society and gets their view of the war. Not everything in WWII was done in a noble and proper way. Some of the stories from minorities make it quite clear that they were treated very poorly even as they served their country. Some stories give a view from people at the top and some give a view from people at the bottom.
This is an excellent book. It is an easy read and keeps your attention.
