IT KEPT ON RISING.
The sheriff met us when we landed and told us that less than half a mile down stream the New York State Thruway bridge over the Schoharie creek had collapsed. (Ten people were later confirmed killed.) We consider ourself's very lucky to have survived.
We had lost our dogs, house and our car but not our will to survive.
As the years have passed since the flood we have rebuilt our lives and moved on.
But we will always remember the day the water kept on rising.
This page was done in memory of the ten people who lost there lives in the flood
also our dogs.
