Borislav (Bob)  

       I was born at September, 26, 1956 in Pernik town – 20 miles southwest of Sofia.  After completing secondary school in my native town, I was 2 years in the Bulgarian Army, where I learned survival skills.  I returned to school to study engineering, and ultimately received a doctorate degree in engineering in the field of machine dynamics from the University of Sofia.  I have 2 children – my son, Stoyan (1980), and my daughter, Maya (1985), now an university student.  I have a sister - psychiatric physician, and treats children. 

        And I am truly a bike maniac.  I ride my bike whenever I have an opportunity, and have done so for more than 25 years.  Each year I do more than 4,000 miles, but I am really not a “mile killer” or a racer.  I usually average 10 – 12 miles/hour.  Bicycling keeps me in very good shape.  I always feel at my best after riding!

         We began with a single American couple in 2000, and have done eight more tours.  We have a wonderful collection of routes and places from these tours and my years of spending my summers exploring my country by bicycle.

Maya  

I was born on 30th of May 1985 year in Sofia. So  I am 20 years old now. I have studied in different primer schools (about four). After words I studied in the high school  for math in Pernik and in same time at an English high school in Sofia.

Now I am a last year student on Informatics in the University of National and World Economy for second year.

In my free time I used to like to ride my bike. But later it became something more that just ridding around. I also like to travel. At a certain point I realized that I can go do it best by my bike - my father has shown me this reality. So last 5 years I am following my way.
