Operation: SILENT WINGS

Braving the Danger

Even the air smelled of suspense, as General GOTCHA crept along the side of a small creek, somewhere in the uncharted swampy zones. With every move he listened to the breeze for any forewarning of the blue trackers. He had just narrowly escaped from the Shot of General Thien. Sadly, the top secret purple laptop was not so fortunate. Faced with General Thien in the fore and a pincer movement of 2 swift blue guards forming in the rear, General GOTCHA had to make a choice. He had to leave the top secret laptop behind in the grasp of the Blue Forces to evade capture.

The moisture level was high, and General GOTCHA knew the rain was coming. With every move he relied on his damaged radar machine to ensure the area was clear of mines. He couldnt risk setting off a mine - that would surely alert all blue scouts within 5000 yards of his presence. The blue were notorious for planting minefields outside their bases. The good news was that General GOTCHA knew it would take the blue programmers atleast 3 days to get through the top-of-the-line encryption on his laptop - hopefully he would be able to capture it back before then. As he tread on, making his way back to an outskirt purple outpost, he was already formulating strategies in the back of his mind.

A twig snapped. General GOTCHA stopped dead in his tracks and listened as the weary wind blew through the trees. He was too far from the Purple Nations for his Minimap plotter to pick up any; he relied purely on his senses to warn him of approaching blues. The jungle was thickening. General GOTCHA knew that this would dramatically weaken any detection signals fueling the Blue Headquarters Minimaps. He made a quick bolt into the jungle where he knew that few blues dared to venture and would be mainly mine free.

A few hours later, General GOTCHA reached the purple outpost. There he was received by several comrades who were worried about his late return. General Zim (also known as invader Zim) poured him a warning cup of hot chocolate to quench his thirst. As they relaxed in the safety of the outpost, one of the other purples sent word to the Purple Nations to send reinforcements. The two war generals sipped their warming drinks as General GOTCHA retold his adventure, and they planned their next line of attack against the blues.

Morning came quickly. General GOTCHA was awoken at precisely 3:00 by an officer. General Zim was already awake and downing a cup of coffee. They had to move quickly. This mission would be carried out by General GOTCHA and General Zim alone, they could not risk early detection by the Blue Headquarters.

Operation: SILENT WINGS

The two generals drove throughout the morning to reach the outskirts of the Blue Headquarters zone. They knew that the blue would be on high alert while their programmers were busy analyzing the encrypted laptop. The air was dry, almost too dry. General GOTCHA finished off a soda as General Zim dug through his storage compartments. He found it - the blue paint. Within 10 minutes, both tanks looked blue to the naked eye. However, this would not be enough to trick the Blue Headquarters identification scanners. To complete their transformation, both generals replaced their C.C. Identification Cards with ones stolen on an earlier blue raid. The cards were top secret tools given to them by Purple Nations, they dare not lose them. Luckily for the generals, the Blue Headquarters did not even know that any cards were missing as fake ones were buried with the fallen soldiers they were stolen from.

The jungle was dull - no birds, no animals. Even the trees knew something was up, and nobody wanted to be in the way of combat. General Zim paused to load his barrel with dual shots. These would be a necessity if they were caught during the escape. The Blue Nations were approaching with every drive. Several blue commanders had them marked with scope, but the fake C.C. Identification cards kept them safe. The easy part of the operation was completed. Nobody knew what lie ahead - neither generals had ever stepped foot into the Blue Headquarters before.

The slate walls were tainted blue. This was nothing like the Purple Nations. Dust layered itself on everything and spiders inhabited the corners. Random objects were scattered all around the chamber - the only empty space being the narrow path through to the corridors. Off to the right all in a separate room all the blues could be heard laughing as they downed their food. The timing was perfect. General GOTCHA picked up an abandoned radar machine and gently replaced its spot with his damaged one. As they continued into the corridor, General Zim scoped in to the main hall and read through the door labels: TANK ARMOURY, WEAPONS MANAGEMENT, Weapons of Mass Destruction Development, PRISON, PROGRAMMING OFFICE... they had found it.

Both generals moved off towards the room, they suspected that breakfast was almost over. As they approached, General Zim peered cautiously through the tiny window on the door... the room was empty. General GOTCHA entered to look for his top secret laptop as General Zim had another plan. He crept towards the WMD development room, and pulled out a tiny gadget from his storage department. It was... a Purple Nations spy camera! General GOTCHA came out of the lab with his laptop; it was in pieces but the blues had still not broken the encryption. He moved over to General Zim and helped him install the microscopic camera on the inner of a door label attached to the window. The purple nations could now monitor the operations of this department. This would be useful.

The operation was not yet a success. Blues could be heard getting up from the table. The generals rushed out to the exit of the Blue Headquarters, but were seen. As the first few blues wear leaving the dining hall, General Zim covered the flank with a few dual shots as General GOTCHA lead the way. Both generals fled off in the same direction that General GOTCHA had radared the night before, and there were no new minefields. As they both collapsed from exhaustion into the deep jungle they radioed the purple Outpost to let them know the mission was a complete success.
