Fake Interview with evil frosty II
Me: Hello Brian, may I interview you for the Newsletter this month? evil frosty II: sure man 1 sec evil frosty II: taking this raid in rox sec evil frosty II: alright im ready whenever you are Me: Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to do this interview. Let us begin then. So, I understand you have played Battlefield since the game was first created? evil frosty II: that i have. since the good 'ole days lol. Me: Just to give the readers an idea here, how consistently have you played Battlefield since it was first created? evil frosty II: well i played for about 5 years, took about a year off, and then came back recently as legendz-1 in rocks and swamps which is now ranked number one. :-d Me: So you have basically watched the progression of Battlefield from beginning to finish. How do you think the game of today compares to the "good 'ole days?" evil frosty II: well its much the same. nowadays there are less players buts the game is still going hard. im really glad that bonus fixed the hacks like rapid fire that used to ruin the game and added the new awards purple heart and war correspondent. Me: Im glad that I wasnt around to experience that hack or One-Shot-Kill. =) As you might know, BF HQ posed the question of making a paid version of Battlefield for the Newsletter this month. Do you have any insight or opinion on the matter?
evil frosty II: well i think its a good idea. we cant expect them to keep running the game for free. for almost all good games on the internet you have to pay for just to support the people who are running them so they can buy food lol. Me: Would you pay for the upgraded version of Battlefield, assuming there was one? evil frosty II: honestly im not sure. after so many years of bf i am a little bored right now but i can say i would for sure be back to play the new version sometime in the future. the new features would make it more fun and i would get addicted to it again. :-D Me: I agree that new features would add a new fun aspect to the game that would likely bring back players from the past. What types of new features do you feel the BF HQ staff might consider for a paid version of BF? evil frosty II: well i think that firstly they would have to stop speedhack. speedhack is the only hack that is ruining the game right now. if this hack was gone the game would be more fun then they could build new ideas onto it. Me: Do you have any "new ideas" in mind that you would like to see in Battlefield? evil frosty II: well i was thinking they should get rid of the maps that are unpopular for the new version and make some new better maps. everyone seems to hate water maps because of waterbabies so they might figure out some new types. how about one called "jungle" :-d Me: Your "jungle" idea could make a pretty decent map. Do you forsee the addition of any new weapons or vehicles so to say? evil frosty II: nah i think the game is pretty perfectly set up so i dont think they will do that. i mean what would they do, add like underground missle or something which would be dumb. =x evil frosty II: by the way sorry that my capital letters are broken for my computer, you can edit the interview if u want. Me: lol I think that would be cheating... il keep it natural. ;-) Me: I feel as though there are some common misconceptions about the idea of a new version of Battlefield. Some players have posted on the Bulletin Board that they would like new graphics, airplanes, guns, and pretty much a completely new game. Personally I feel as though the idea behind Battlefield has been designed and developed to perfection, and a paid version would just increase the amount of programmers and editors that would run it. These new staff could fix glitches, design new awards, stop hacks, etc. Do you agree with me? evil frosty II: yea i think i have to on that one. one thing i would like them to do is make the game a little faster... not a hack speed or anything but fix the hacks and then speed the game up a little for everyone so its more fun. Me: That reminds me of a question I had for you. I understand you used to be friends with phr33k, the man who has devoted so much time to creating hacks like speedhack. You probably know him better than any other player. Do you think he might come back to BF and try to hack it more if there was a new, paid for version? evil frosty II: well i dont know since i havent been friends with him since for a long time. i really dont think he cares enough to hack the game anymore. anyways i have hopes that if the staff could hire a few more programmers with the money from a paid game, they could stop his hacks. they have stopped every hack so far except dtt (speedhack) so i think it is possible to stop any future hacks. :-d Me: Well I would certainly like to see the day that BF is cheat-free. How much do you think BF HQ would/should charge for a paid version of Battlefield, if they were to make one? evil frosty II: well i think around 5 dollars a month is a good idea. most people who play this game are young or teenagers who dont have lots of money but 5 dollars is a fair cost. Me: One possible problem that occurred to me is how to get the money to BF HQ. Do you have any ideas on how us young people could pay for the game? evil frosty II: well i am getting older now but i think lots of players will be best off to mail the money to battlefield headquarters. i think they are located in the united states and most players are there too. other than that parents will probably be more than happy to pay for their children and they could pay online if they had a credit card. parents are not likely to say no to their kids who are just trying to have fun and most kids get an allowance. they could use some of their allowance to pay for a paid version which would be better. Me: Do you think other players might be willing to pay the fee for people who couldnt afford it or were too far away to mail the money? evil frosty II: well it is an investment and some players are like 30 years old so they might be willing to spare extra money. i think its a good idea actually as long as people dont abuse it. its something to think about if bonus decides to make a new paid for version. Me: So on a fresh topic, I hear you have won over 100 tournaments now. What is your opinion on one of the favorite ideas - a tournament map that combines all the different types of map into one more skillful and fair map? evil frosty II: lol 108 cups now. :-d i dont like that idea at all. for me i like the idea of trying to conquer every tournament map which is different. there is new strategy to each one. if there was just one tournament map the fun is gone and people use the same strategy over and over. however i think they should take away the maps iceland and deep six from tournaments because usually only players with a ferry. if they just did that, and added a few more ferries to castles and apps land, which they would be able to do if they could hire more programmers, the tournaments would be better. Me: Its good to hear your side of that arguement - I had thought that idea was pretty good but il have to rethink now. =) Have you sent your opinions in for the Newsletter? You have some good insight that newer players might not realize, which makes your opinion and experience valuable in this topic. evil frosty II: nah i dont care about the new award atleast right now since im kinda bored of playing the game. Me: Well thanks for sharing your ideas with me. I will submit this interview for the Newsletter if you dont mind. I really hope they come out with a paid version of BF that would be cheat-free, but I plan on reading the whole Newsletter this month before I solidify my thoughts on the matter. =) evil frosty II: good luck in the newsletter. i think a new paid version of this game is the best thing they could do right now to get more players and wish them good luck in setting it up if they decide to.
