Today I had a day planned with Becky and Marlene to go to Karen Ramstead's open house and a chance to cuddle puppies.   I discovered it conflicted with my opportunity to hear Dee Dee Jonrowe speak.   Dee Dee has had a battle this year with Breast Cancer and had 7 months of Chemo.  She is a corageous lady.   She will be in the Iditarod.  I just had to hear her speak!
After hearing Dee Dee speak, she autographed copies of her book: Iditarod Dreams.
My job, here, is to answer school children's e-mail in Zuma's room.  (When I'm not off running around).
I did work a bit yesterday and today, however there are few e-mails until the race begins.
Tonight was the Idita-support Group's dinner at the Sourdough Restaurarnt.  Several of us missed the bus, because we were inside where it was warm.  The others were out in the parking lot and got on the bus and drove away.   They sent a van back to pick us up.  There was entertainment, good food and many door prizes.  I got a cute picture of Via with two of her pups (G.B.Jones' dog).
Karen Ramstead gave a wonderful slide presentation of pictures along the trail, at the Idita-Group dinner..
They are bringing in snow from Palmer and other points via train to be spread along the trail in Anchorage.  I hope to post some pictures of this.  I guess they'll work all night preparing the trail of approx. 11 miles from 4th St.
