Cole Slaw Supreme

 

¾ cup vegetable oil

½ cup chopped onion

¼ cup granulated sugar

3 tablespoons cider vinegar

½ teaspoon poppy seed

½ teaspoon celery seed

½ teaspoon salt

Hot pepper sauce to taste

½ small green cabbage head, thinly sliced

½ small red cabbage head, thinly sliced

½ cup raisin golden

1/3 cup almond toasted slivered (optional)

 

Place oil, onion, sugar, vinegar, poppy seeds, celery seeds, salt, and hot pepper sauce in a blender container or food processor bowl. Cover and blend or process until uniform. Taste for additional seasoning.

 

Combine green and red cabbage, raisins, and almonds in a large bowl. Add dressing and toss until all ingredients are well coated. Serve immediately or chill up to 1 hour.
