Baked Ham

 

6 to 8 pound fully cooked bone-in ham

Whole cloves

¼ cup honey 

½ teaspoon dry mustard

¼ teaspoon ground cloves

Meat thermometer

 

Heat oven to 325*

 

 Place ham, fat side up, on rack in shallow roasting pan. Cover ham, bake 13 to 17 minutes per pound, or until thermometer reads 135*. Place the thermometer into the ham during the cooking process. Insert the thermometer in the thickest part of the ham. 

 

20 minutes before ham in done, remove from oven. Pour drippings from pan. Remove any skin from ham. Cut diamond shapes on the fat surface of ham. Insert cloves into each diamond shape. Mix honey, mustard, and ground cloves. Brush over ham. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes. Let ham stand about 10 minutes before slicing.
