Section 1: Approach to Life and Appearance to Others

He meets life head on and throws himself into new experiences with zest and enthusiasm. He is direct, straightforward, assertive, and usually completely aboveboard in all his dealings. Candid and incapable of guile, insincerity or phoniness, he projects a confident and sometimes arrogant appearance to others. He often lacks tact and sensitivity, and can be completely oblivious to others' needs, and inadvertently selfish. He is self-reliant and doesn't depend upon social approval and reinforcement as much as other people do. He likes to be original and does not mind going it alone. He may feel that he does not fit into groups very well, and that he does not naturally blend in and cooperate with others very easily. He likes to be either a leader or a loner.

He is a doer and thrives on freedom, challenge, and activity. He tends to think in clear, black and white terms, and to be somewhat simplistic in his outlook, which enables him to act in a very decisive and self-assured manner. When inspired with an idea, he feels such a sense of urgency and excitement about it that he will often charge ahead and try to implement it in a rather bold but poorly planned and crudely executed way. Patience and careful attention to details are not his forte. However, he never accepts defeat and will have brilliant and unprecedented successes and discoveries, as well as painful failures. To him it is far better to make mistakes than it is to play it safe and never try.

He is scornful of what he sees as weakness or passivity in others and also of the human tendency to imitate and follow. He is not a follower. Others see him as a strong individual, and perhaps brash and brazen as well. He presents a strong front to the world and generally does not allow others to see his vulnerable or insecure side.

Section 2: The Inner You: Your Real Motivation

Quiet, deep, emotionally complex and intensely private, he is not a person who is easy to get to know and understand. He is extremely sensitive but disinclined to show it, and he allows only a special few into his inner world. Like a wary animal, he is cautious and mistrustful of those he does not know until he "sniffs them out". He is very, very instinctive and intuitive. He usually has a strong, immediate gut reaction to people, even though he may be unable to clearly articulate why he feels as he does. His feelings and perceptions go deeper than words.

He also has a powerful need for deep emotional involvement and he forms very intense love bonds and attachments. He is possessive and often jealous of anyone or anything that he perceives as a threat to his bond with someone he loves. When he commits himself to someone or something, he is wholeheartedly devoted and expects complete loyalty in return. He merges with or "marries" the person he loves at a very deep level and therefore separations are extremely painful for him, and often stormy and nasty. When he has been wounded, he is not inclined to turn the other cheek and will retaliate if at all possible. Certainly he will never forget the injury and often harbors grievances and resentments for a long, long time. Forgiveness doesn't come easily to him.

Whatever he does, he does with passion and fervor, and he often goes to extremes. He is either hot or cold, never lukewarm about anything. He can also be very narrow: either he is 100% involved in something or else it doesn't exist for him at all. Rarely is he emotionally detached and objective. He definitely has a fanatical streak. He is also immensely strong-willed and his tenacity in pursuing his objectives often borders on being obsessive. Fierce pride, courage, and emotional strength are his in abundance.

He loves mysteries and is deeply attracted to the hidden, dark, secret side of life. He never takes things at face value and is always probing beneath the surface of people and situations to discover what is REALLY going on. He tends to be more of a cynic than an idealist.
