Originally from Poitou, he was miller at la Pree-Ronde at Port-Royal. Then
in 1698, he was the founder of Chipoudie, now Hopewell in New Brunswick.

Jeanne was a hardy lady!! She married at 16, had 17 children, died at age 82
after 66 years of marriage. Only one child died in infancy and all the others
lived to marry and start their own families.

He arrived Acadie from Scotlnd in 1657 via Boston, Mass. He was a Tailleur and
Stonecutter.

Marie-Marguerite was the daughter of Seigneur Philippe Mius-d'Entremont, Sieur
of Pobomcoup, Acadie and Madeleine Elie, who was born in 1649 in Normandie,
France.

Rochelle, Fr. also. Robert's contract of hiring was signed at La Rochelle
8 Jan 1644 for New France (Quebec or Acadie). He was a ship's carpenter and he,
his wife Marie and son Thomas, all living at La Rochelle, departed on the ship
"Petit Saint Pierre" captained by Pierre Boileau for Cape Breton Island, New
France. He was to work for the Sieurs Tuffet, Duchanin and Chevery. Louis
Tuffet was the commandant of Fort Saint Pierre on this island. They arrived
there in 1644. The family was established at Port Royal about 1650. Robert wasburied at Port Royal 12 Feb 1712.

Daniel LeBlanc arrived in Acadie about 1645. He settled on the river north of the Riviere Francaise, to northeast of Belisle's swamp about 9 miles from Port Royal and a half mile below the chapel of St. Laurent. In about 1650 he
married, at Port Royal, Nova Scotia, Francoise Gaudet, (widow of W. Mercier), daughter of Jean, (who was remarried) and his first wife, Marie D'Aussy.

Marie-Francoise Gaudet was m.to W. Mercier c.1640 and was his widow when she married Daniel LeBlanc, in 1645 at Port Royal, Acadie. Her father, Jean Gaudet, was known as "Jean de France".
Antoine was a "cooper". Arrived in Port Royal, Acadie in 1640.
