Since there was a brother, Jacques-LaRose, who married in Montreal, they probably both journeyed to
the new France in Canada together. He 2m. Marguerite Leseur before marrying our ancestress Jeanne Tetard.He 3m. Jean Tetard, 2 Dec 1662, in Montreal, Que.
Jacques Bernier was known as "Jean-De-Paris".
There was an 11th child, Antoinette, b. 1678, did not appear after the 1681
census, so presumed died after.

Guillaume's lst wife, Elisabeth Langois was the widow of Louis Cote and their
son, Louis Cote II, married Genevieve Bernier, a sister to Charles, husband of
Marie-Anne Lemieux.
On 28 Nov 1669, marriage contract between Guillaume and Elisabeth Langlois was
executed by Notaire Fillion.

she was 12 years old, which was not against the French-Canadian custom. How-
ever, her lst child was born when she was 16.

Although Catherine Bonhomme was only 12 years old when married to Jacques Berthiaume, 5 Nov 1667, they did not co-habit until she was 16 years old. Their lst child was born in 1671.

Marie, m. Philippe Melancon (Pierre & Margueritee Mius-D'Entremont) in 1695 at Port Royal, Acadie. She was granddaughter to Abraham Dugas and Marguerite-Louise Doucet.

He arrived at Fort St-Pierre at Cape Breton in 1644. He settled at Beau-
bassin in Acadia.Ref. Elaine Smith, ltr of 4/93: Thomas, b. 1636 at La Rochelle, France became one of the most prosperous colonists at Beaubassin, being a carpenter and a farmer posessing 30 head of cattle, 10 sheep, 15 chickens and 40 arpents in culture for the 1686 census at Beaubassin. He died in 1689 at Beaubassin, Acadia.
His surviving family was deported in "The Grande Derangement" of 1755.

Madeleine Girouard and Thomas Cormier entered into a marriage contract when she was 13 (?) years old. Her exact birth date is unknown. She might have been 15 years old when their lst child, Madeleine, was born about 1669, but that child's exact birth date is also unknown.
Jacques & Catherine Hebert lived at la Riviere-des-Habitants in 1693. He died at St-Charles-des-Mines, Grand Pre, Acadie. They were married in 1673 at Port Royal, Acadie, lived in Grand-Pre and had 14 children.

records of his new life in Quebec appeared c. 1674. He and wife, Jeanne-
Francoise Millouer/Milloir raised 13 ch. 5 by her 2nd husband, Paradis and 8 by
her 3rd husband, Francois.

gether they raised 13ch.
