65. Marie-Madeleine VIAU-Ch. 2-5
Marie Madeleine Viau was born ll June 1673 in Montreal. (Jacques l'Esperance
Viau and Marie-Madeleine Plouart. She died 7 May 1758 in Longueuil, Chambly, Quebec, Can.She m. Nicolas Charron, in Longeuil 1703. (Refrences: letters from,
Mary Boulay and Loretta D. Hoye (from Boucherville repertory), C. Tanguay. Also shown as mother of children with Nicolas Charron from 1704 to 1730 including the reportoire of Baptisms of St-Antoine de Pades, Longueuil, Chambly, Que.Other info says she was born 19 Oct 1685, (Jacques 2m to Marie-Therese Robin)
In view of the number of children recorded to her and Nicolas Charon, (15), I am
inclined to go with the earlier date, ll June 1673. However, that would make
her 30 years old when married. If she were born in 1685, she would be 18 when
married. (There is also confusing information in the Jette dictionary and the
Drouin dictionary, as to Jacque's marriage to both Robin and Plouart.) I am
also inclined to go with the Boucherville repertory, as the primary source of
information.
Louis Reguindeau was born 9 Jun 1681 in Boucherville, Chambly County.
His baptism states 9 Jun 1681 I, Pierre de Commons, pastor of the church at
Boucherville, baptized the infant by the name of Louis Reguindeau, the son of
Joachim Requindeau and Magdeleine Hanneton, born today. Godfather, Louis
Robert; godmother, Marie Landry, wife of Pierre ??, habitant of Boucherville.
The godmother signed her name at my request.
The godmother's signature was shaky, as if she had not held a pen in her
hand for a very long time. Across the book on the other side of the page
was the marriage of Jean Baptiste Menard and Marquerite Etienne, two other
ancestors.
He married Marie Charbonneau on 7 Nov 1712 in Boucherville. That document
states 7 Nov 1712 after the publication of three banns the 23rd, 28th and 30th
of November 1712 was married by the undersigned priest in the parish of
Boucherville, Louis Reguindo, age about 32 years, son of Joaqim Reguindeau
and the late Magdeleine Hanneton of Boucherville; and Marie Charbonneau,
daughter of Michel Charbonneau and Marguerite DeNoyon, also of Boucherville.
Marie Charbonneau was born 7 Aug 1693 in Boucherville. Her Baptism reads 7
Aug 1792 (?) was baptised by the undersigned priest at St. Famille,
Boucherville, Marie Charbonneau, born yesterday, the daughter of Michel
Charbonneau and Marguerite DeNoyon, his wife, both of Boucherville. The
godfather was Joseph Huet dit Du Perth of Boucherville. The godmother was
Marie Chauvin, widow of the late Jean DeNoyon.
Marie married Louis Reguindeau on 7 Nov 1712 in Boucherville.NOTE: The above (?) - baptism year is prior to birth year, and birth date is l
day after supposed birth date per priest. Above information furnished by Mary
Boulay. Should be corrected.
Joseph Lamoureux was christened 8 Jan 1706 in Boucherville. His baptism
states 8 Jan 1706 was baptized by the undersigned priest at Boucherville,

Joseph Huet and the later Catherine ? of Boucherville. The godmother was Anne

70. Nicolas (Laboissiere) VINCELET-Ch.3-6
Nicolas Vincelet/Laboissiere was born 16 Nov 1699 in Montreal, Can. He
married Genevieve Gareau/St.Onge on 11 Oct 1723 in Boucherville. Wedding
document states that his name is Nicolas Geoffroy and that he is the son of
Nicolas Geoffroy. The document says that he is about 22 years old and that
his mother is Marguerite LeFleur; parents from Ville Marie and Boucherville.
Quoting from Mary Boulay's information, Dawn Snow, citing reference Jette
on this event, reports that the priest was confused and wrote misleading
information. She points out that Marguerite Barsa dit LeFleur was Nicolas
Vincelet's aunt, not his mother, and that the name LeFleur, according to
Jette, was inserted instead of Barsa as was the last name Geoffroy instead of
Vincelet. She asked me to check the register for a Geoffroy family living
there during the time. I could not find any except for the misleading one
already cited.

16 May 1698 in Boucherville and she is around 26 years of age.The Boucherville repertoire also lists a 2m. to Louis Robin (WIdower), 22 Apr 1743
