Ericsson T 68i
The T68 was the first mobile phone made by Ericsson to have a colour screen. It was cosmetically redesigned (and received a software upgrade) to form the T68i when Ericsson joined forces with Sony to produce mobile phones as Sony Ericsson. One of best feature-rich mobile phones of its time, it features Bluetooth, an IrDA port, GPRS in 3+1 configuration, tri-band compatibility (900MHz, 1800MHz & 1900MHz), SyncML support, a built-in e-mail client, WAP, and MIDI ringtones (not polyphonic).
It has several strange omissions, often corrected in the models which followed shortly afterwards. In this respect it appears to have been something of a stop-gap or consumer-testing model, but in fairness the developers may just have been waiting to see the results of the merger with Sony. A camera was later sold as an add-on, and was offered in a bundle with the phone by some airtime suppliers, notably Orange in the UK. Sony Ericsson T68i : Read reviews and compare prices at Ciaocouk.
