Half Moon Bay State Beach is located on the western end of Route 92 at Route 1. Fifty-one campsites are on the seaside bluffs hanging over beaches, along with places to hike and picnic. Sorry, there's no swimming. The Bay Meadows Racetrack, which has thoroughbred and quarter horse racing, is on El Camino Real (Route 82) and then southward.
