California's Route 64

364. Route 64 is from Route 1 near Malibu Beach to Route 5 south of San Fernando. Status Unconstructed. Notes This was meant to be a freeway from Route 1 to Route 5, slicing through the San Fernando Valley. The proposed route, called the Whitnall Freeway and in a few cases the Los Angeles Freeway, was eventually taken off the maps around 1970. The route is neither signed as well. Idea Build the darn thing! Actually, they can build a freeway for Route 64 from Route 101 near Agoura Hills to Roscoe Bl in Chatsworth. Then the route can follow Roscoe Bl to Route 5. What would be better though is that Route 64 continued east of Route 5 to Route 210. To do this, it can follow Roscoe Bl until it renames itself to Tuxford St and again to La Tuna Canyon Road. Then it can head north on Sunland Blvd heading towards Sunland and Route 210. It is quite a busy road. California State Highways (Pull-down) California State Highways (Tables) The Main Page
