From Route 80 to the town of Riverton.
Route 50, before 1964, started in San Francisco at Route 101 (nowaday junctions of Routes 101 and 80). Then it got on the Bay Bridge to Oakland and sped off on a very crooked MacArthur Bl. Then it followed Route 580 past Livermore, then on Route 205, and finally on Route 5, before getting to Sacramento and nowaday Route 50.
Route 50 from Route 49 near Placerville to the Nevada state line near Lake Tahoe.
Isn't Lake Tahoe enough of a point of interest?
There's the Best Western Cameron Park Inn in Clarksville (El Dorado County). There are a ton of hotels and resorts in South Lake Tahoe, or so, in Nevada's side. California State Highways (Pull-down) California State Highways (Tables) The Main Page
