(c) Route 120 near Chinese Camp to Route 80 near Auburn via the vicinity of Sonora; via Angels Camp, San Andreas, and Jackson; and via the vicinity of El Dorado, Diamond Springs, and Placerville. (d) Route 80 near Auburn to Route 20 in Grass Valley. (e) Route 20 at Nevada City to Route 89 near Sattley via Downieville. (f) Route 89 near Sierraville to Route 70 near Vinton via Loyalton. [CS&HC Sec. 263.4] Notes This highway is called the Gold Country Highway, largely because it goes in and around certain historic places like mines and mining towns. Downieville for example is quite an interesting little town, since on of the things that makes this town "different" is that there are no address numbers; everyone knows you name, that is, if you live there.
