Along the way, you'll see the Silverado Museum in Saint Helena, the Bale Grist Mill State Historic Park, the Bothe-Napa Valley State Park, with hiking, camping, picnic grounds, and even a swimming pool, the Napa Valley Railroad Depot in Calistoga (which now belongs to Southern Pacific), and, oh yes, the Old Faithful Geyser of California, with mud baths attracting people year-round. Before coming to the Napa-Lake county line (northward), you'll see the Robert Louis Stevenson State Park off Route 29. It's a scenic area along the way for picnicking and hiking. As you head toward Lakeport, you'll stumble across the Lake County Fairgrounds, Lakeport's Historic Museum, and its County Museum.
