California's Route 248

Route 248 is from Route 134 near Pasadena to Route 210 near Monrovia.

This route will cease to be a state highway when Interstate Route 210 freeway is completed and the commission relinquishes that portion of present Route 210 in the County of Los Angeles and the Cities of Pasadena, Arcadia, and Monrovia. {CS&HC Sec. 548. 1970}

History

  • 1986: Portion from Route 134 to the east city limit of Pasadena deleted.
  • 1992: Remaing portion to Route 210 deleted.

    Notes

    This was a former routing of U.S. Route 66. According to the Caltrans Bridge Log, Route 248 was signed as such until its deletion in 1992. It ran entirely on Colorado Boulevard.
