Along Route 227 is Edna Valley Vineyard. The vineyard, owned by the Niven family, focuses on producing premium Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Tours are given weekends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the hour. (I get a mailer from these guys every once in a while.) At the very northern end of Route 227 is the Madonna Inn. It is an all-inclusive inn, with a steak house, men's store, and a ladies' boutique, as well as lodging. Weddings and banquets are held here regularly.
The San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport operates regional airline service to the West. It is located on Route 227 at Tank Farm Road. |
