California's Route 225

525. Route 225 is from Route 101 near Santa Barbara to Route 101 near the Santa Barbara Central Business District. History Until 1998, Route 225 was from Route 101 near Santa Barbara to Route 101 near Montecito via the coast. In 1998, through AB 2132, the route was truncated to end at Route 101 near Castillo Street. Remnants of the old alignment, such as mile markers and shield outlines, can still be found. Points of Interest The West Beach, the Santa Barbara Yacht Harbor, and Stearns Wharf, with the Sea Center Marine Museum, are at your disposal near Santa Barbara. Several hotels are on the route as well. The Moreton Bay Fig Tree is near the route, on Chapala St heading north. Arroyo Burro Beach and Park are near the western end of Route 225.
