California's Route 204

Route 204 is from Route 58 to Route 99 near Bakersfield via Union Avenue and Golden State Avenue.

    Points of Interest

    Several points of interest are located off Chester Avenue. The Metropolitan Recreation Center, the Kern County Museum, and Pioneer Village are to the north, while the San Joaquin Community Hospital is to the south.

    Notes

    This was a former routing of U.S. Route 99. The deleted portion south of Route 58 serves as Business Route 99.

    The interchange between Routes 99 and 204, and Airport Drive, is the "Richard Alan Maxwell Memorial Interchange", named after the slain state traffic officer who was killed in the line of duty on July 11, 1994.
