Route 165 is from Route 5 south of Los Banos to Route 99 near Turlock. [CS&HC Sec. 465]
West of Route 165 on River Road (Merced County Route J-18) is the George J. Hatfield State Recreation Area, named after the State Senator. Located along the Merced River near its confluence with the San Joaquin River, this 46-acre park contains oak woodlands and expansive lawn areas. Visitor activities include picnicking, camping, swimming, and fishing.
From Route 5, the exit is called Mercy Hot Springs. In this junction, there's a Mobil gas station with its own mart!
Route 165 crosses Los Banos. Continue past the route's end in Turlock to Monte Vista Avenue, where you will reach CSU Stanislaus!
