[CS&HC Sec. 263.7] Points of Interest The Brannan Island/Franks Tract State Recreation Areas are located three miles past the Antioch Bridge. Cottonwood and Willow campgrounds in the park have a total of 102 developed sites with tables and stoves. RVs up to thirty-one feet long are welcome. You can berth your boat in the Delta Vista Boat Campsite overnight; near the berths are walk-in campsites and restrooms with hot showers. Meanwhile in Franks Tract, where all but three hundred acres of it is underwater, boating and waterskiing is prevalent, as well as fishing (particularly stripped bass, bulegill, black bass, and some salmon) and waterfowl hunting. Franks Tract is only accessible by water. Route 160 is a fascinating way to see the California Delta. To learn more about this delta area, visit the California Delta web page. This happens to be the route into Sacramento; from this route you will be able to take a view of California's capitol. At the part of the route that goes south, at Capitol Street, you can stop by and view Capitol Park, surrounded by the State Archives to the south, the California Vietnam Veterans Monument to the east, a Hyatt hotel to the north, and the State Capitol Building to the west. The State Library and the State Capitol Museum is behind the actual capitol. On the corner of H Street and 16th Street (northbound Route 160) is the Old Governor's Mansion. And if you have time, you can take a ride on Sacramento's own Metro Rail! Notes Antioch Bridge charges a $2.00 toll, so don't act surprised. When arriving in Sacramento, the route starts to wander around and the two bounds (north and south) split during this time. Heading northbound on 21st Street, make a left on Broadway and then a right on 16th Street; continue through Sacramento and you'll reach the freeway portion. Heading southbound, head on the freeway to its ending, where it empties the traffic on 12th Street. Make a left on F Street and then a right on 15th Street. Then, make a left on Broadway and then a right on Freeport Boulevard. The street will take you to where you meet the rest of the route.
