California's Route 11

Route 11 is from the northerly border of the new Federal Port of Entry and east of the Otay Mesa Port of Entry to near the junction of Route 125 and Route 905. [CS&HC Sec. 311]

History

  • 1981: Route 11, formerly from San Pedro to Route 248 (Colorado Boulevard) in Pasadena, renumbered to Route 110 as a result of designation as an Interstate highway.
  • 1994: Current route defined.
  • October 7, 1999: AB 1650 chaptered; Route 11 becomes part of the Freeway and Expressway System.

    Notes

    It is expected that the route will connect to the proposed Tijuana 2000 Bypass Highway in Mexico, which would in turn connect to the Tijuana-Tecate and Tijuana-Ensenada toll roads. Click here for more information.
