The Gospel of Matthew begins with the Infancy Narrative. Jesus is conceived in Mary's womb by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is born in Bethlehem.

While Jesus and his family are still in Bethlehem three Magi come to pay Jesus homage. They gave him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

Around that time John the Baptist was preaching in the dessert of Judea. John preaches of one who he is not even worthy to carry his sandals.

Jesus came to John the Baptist while John was baptising people in the Jordan River. Jesus asked John to baptize him. John said "I need to be baptized by you." When John baptized Jesus a voice from heaven said "This is my beloved son."

After being baptized Jesus went out into the desert. There he was tempted by the devil three times.

Coming out of the desert Jesus began his ministry. Jesus called his disciples out of all types of people. His first disciples were fishermen.

Upon gathering his disciples Jesus began teaching. He would walk about and heal those with infirmities. When he saw the crowds, he went up the mountain and began teaching his new law of love.

Jesus one day began telling a story about a farmer who is sowing seeds. The seeds represent the Word of God. The soil that they fall on is the different type of people.

Some time later Jesus took Peter, James, and John to the top of a high mountain. There he was transfigured in front of them. Moses and Elijah appeared next to him.

When Jesus and the disciples arrived in Jerusalem the crowd before them began singing "Hosanna" while Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey.

While Jesus was in Jerusalem the Passover came. Jesus and the disciples gathered to celebrate the Passover in a house of a friend. There Jesus broke the bread and blessed it saying it was His body. He then took the wine blessed it saying it was His blood.

Judas betrayed Jesus after the Last Supper. Jesus was brought before the Sanhedrin and was accused of blasphemy and brought to the Romans. They had Jesus crucified.

After the Sabbath the women were going to his tomb to anniont Jesus with oils. When they got there was no Jesus his tomb was empty. An angel came and told them Jesus was risen.
