Four Goal
Minimum Tonight

Five
Beer Minimum got on the scoreboard first
when a shot from subbing Gordon Mcpherson
was redirected by Hermit's Captain Herman
Yee into his own net.
The
second period was rather quiet except for
a scary moment for the Hermit's when
their defense coughed up the puck in
their own end during a power play
allowing a breakaway on net minder Tony
Riccomini, luckily he was able to get his
pads on the shot and keep the game at a
one goal difference.
In
the final period the lead increased when
5 Beer’s Frank Witko beat Riccomini
between the legs to make it 2-0. Three
minutes later 5 Beer Min. struck again
when the Hermits defense seemed confused
– Jack Clifford pushed the puck
between the goalie’s legs again to
make it 3-0. Hope seemed to be lost for
the Hermits except maybe stealing some
pride; Herman Yee redeemed himself with a
late third period goal to make it 3-1.
With
three minutes left in the game, 5 Beer
Min took a penalty giving some hope to
the Hermits however they were unable to
capitalize on the chance. In the last
minute the Hermits pulled their goalie,
only to see another goal slip in to the
vacant net off a shot by Gordon Mcpherson
giving him two goals on the night.
