Joe Balan's
four goals lead the Youngbloods past
Meercats 7-2

The
Youngbloods remained one point back of
first place with a victory over the
Meercats on Wednesday night. The
Youngblood forwards played a strong game
all around combining aggressive fore-checking
with constant help to their defense.
Joe
Balan led the scoring with 4 goals;
Trevor Lawley scored twice along with two
assists. Paul O'Connor put together one
of his best performances by tallying 3
assists while Eric Nash scored his first
goal of the season in the victory. Johnny
Blaze was solid in net turning away a
number of chances.
As
for the Meercats, their troubles
continued to pile as they have been the
whole season. In almost every game
Meercats offensive efforts are being
negated by poor play in the defensive end.
Dave Verderosa scored 2 goals while Jared
Ginsburg set him up each time.
