Navigate Text Box: Warriors Move Up to #12

October 15, 2004

KALAMAZOO (AP) -- The latest WMU IM Flag Football rankings are out and the Bellevue Warriors have inched up to #12 in the 104 team league.

Going into a game against Beef Curtain (#24), the Warriors (then #20) had found themselves in the top 25 for the first time. After handing their week 3 opponents a 32-12 defeat, the Warriors have found themselves at the highest point in franchise history.

The Warriors hope to advance further after next weeks game against Metonia (1-2). For what should be an easy victory for the Warriors, they are taking it quite serious.

"One game at a time," cornerback Bill Caddick said. "Last year we got ahead of ourselves and it cost us our season. We're only that much better now."

Caddick, along with Brandon Hall (DT), Cody King (LB), Greg Van Gemert (DT), Luke Denver (CB), Dane Beardsley (LB), and Matt Kulenkamp (S), will try to improve their already impressive 6.0 points allowed per game for the Warriors defensive.

Offense should not be a problem on Monday, as the Warriors have scored on all but 2 of their possessions thanks to solid play from quaterback Luke Denver (11 TD's - 1 INT).

The final regular season game for the Warriors is scheduled for Monday, October 18th on IM
Field #1 at 7 o'clock.
