Navigate Text Box: Warriors Optimistic About 2004 Schedule

September 24, 2004

KALAMAZOO (AP) -- What do Los Dbs, The Rebels, Beef Curtain, and Metonia all have in common? The Answer: They all have to cross paths with the Bellevue Warriors.

The 2004 Western Michigan Univeristy Intramural Flag Football schedule was annouced today, and the Bellevue Warriors are optimisitic about their schedule this year.

"We have something to prove after last years unexplainable playoff loss to Kodiak," Warrior second-year linebacker/defensive coordinator Cody King insisted. "We've made some moves in the off season that will help us where we lacked last year."

Added depth at wide receiver and on the offensive line should improve Bellevue's passing attack led by quarterback Luke Denver.

The Warriors are without starting center Richard Ducharme (graduated) and backup defensive back Neal Vanecek (scheduling conflicts) this season.

The Warriors will play each of their games on Monday nights at 7 P.M. at IM Field #1.
