As Bright as The Sun
You come to me each morning
As new as the day unfolding
Your smile rejuvinates my heart
Your warmth replaces cold.
Your eyes, as open as the sea
Drift all around the room
OH! How you contemplate the world
Your patience leaves me numb
Your soft embrace does soothe my aches
Refresh my strength and give me peace
Your quiet tone has settled me
With brilliant thoughts you gently speak
When dusk should hide my heart away
For sleep - as the day is done
Before my thoughts can miss your touch
You're there - as bright as the sun.
