| Oh Precious Child! | ||||||||
| Those tiny hands that must explore, And reach and open every door Will someday reach for something great To hold a hand, to change ill fate Those little feet that pitter pat, run down the hall and chase the cat Will someday run to chase a dream And go beyond what all may seem Those wide bright eyes that gaze in awe Observe intently all they saw, But someday child those eyes will know The harsher things life has to show. Those curious ears that long for noise And yearn for other girls and boys Will someday flood with cons and fear, Much different than what you now hear. So much will change sweet little one I pray each night, with the setting sun That this will not if you are smart, Oh Precious Child - you're golden heart! |
