My Lord Is Right Beside Me
I've wallowed in the mud awhile
I've nearly drowned before.
I've climbed the highest mountains
I've dug into the core
The world has spun within me
and dizzied in my mind
I've travelled through myself
and learned that all I need to find...
Is right here at my fingertips
Wherever I may be
There is strength and inspiration
My Lord is right beside me
My Lord is ever present
In my dreams and in my soal
Encouraging persistance
Every step to every goal
Every journey I have taken
All the thoughts I've ever had
And every opportunity
Before me, good or bad
My Lord is right beside me,
I must listen for his voice
And then with God to guide me
I will make the better choice
I have struggled, I have won
I've been often times left bare
Yes my Lord is right beside me,
To hear my every prayer.
