Our team captain, Soon Chong, is planning on  the team’s strategy to win awards.

Mr. Shahilan bin Zuki, our BAE 2000 Alumni would not want to be left out as a sponsor and die hard supporter for the success of Belangtara 2002  project.

Belangtara 2002 encountered the great challenge to stand on their own feet soliciting fund from potential sponsors.  More than 492 sponsorship letters and 55 appeal letters have been circulated.  Numerous personal contacts and visits to potential companies have been made. The group has successfully raised US$40,000 until this date for sending the whole team and the tractor to participate in the competition. Alumni of DBAE-UPM, corporate companies, individuals, Malaysian Society of Agricultural Engineers, and Universiti Putra Malaysia are among the sponsors for Belangtara 2002 project.  The team had arranged for a full media publicity and project coverage on May 15, 2002 with the launching of team’s homepage.
