IT TAKES FAITH
It takes Faith to please the Father.
It takes Faith in His dear Son.
There is no other way to reach out
and wrap ourselves up in His love.
It takes Faith to reach the heavens.
It takes Faith for souls to soar.
Without faith there is eternity
condemnation evermore.
I see faith as but the difference
---as the opposite of sin---
For disbelief is what remains to
keep us separate from Him.
Oh, but Faith can reconnect us
To the Father through the Son.
Without faith there's sin to keep us
from His covering of love.
Oh, I know they are still teaching
without holiness we can't be
in the Presence of the Father.
But it's not "our holiness" I believe.
It's the Son who is the pure one.
It's the Son who sets us free.
He fulfilled the righteous requirements
But it takes Faith in Him to reach.
The righteous covering that He offers
Will protect from holy wrath.
The pureness of the Saviour
Is the righteousness we lack.
How we ever think we're able
to be good enough ourselves.
To be covered in our righteous deeds
Is like trusting filthy rags.
But when the Son provides the Cover
You can count on it for strength.
His rich robes and pure gowns offered
replace our clothes of sin.
What a debt that we owe Jesus.
He has offered us so much.
With no strings attached to His Love.
He already died on our behalf.
It takes Faith to be reinstated
to God's Good Graces, now at last.
It takes Faith in our Lord Jesus
To protect from holy wrath.
Faith is more than just a word though
it's life built around the Son.
It's a life of seeking Jesus
and the will of Him above.
For when we finally understand
the grandeur of His Gift.
We want only to be pleasing
and obedient to Him.
Now rules hold no more torment
Jesus finished all of that.
He now is being formed in us
in our hearts, only by Faith.
Disbelief is now the meaning
of the word that we call "sin"
Disbelief is now the only thing
that can't be forgiven man.
It's by Faith in God's Son Jesus
that the prisoner is set free.
It's by Faith that man is healed.
It's by Faith that man can see.
Our redemption has been purchased
by the Blessed Lamb of God.
There is nothing to divide us
from the Father and His love.
If we accept by Faith His offer
of a life, eternally
We'll want to spread the good news
and help battle Disbelief.
